The Oscars are here and so is the “H. Luiz Presents…Oscar Contest” for 2011. Just like last year, the winner(s) will receive 24 cookies (last year, it was only 1 dozen, this year – it’s two dozen) of OATMEAL CRANBERRY ALMOND or CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies delivered to their home(s).
The 83rd Academy Awards are to be televised live on February 27, 2011 and the co-hosts are James Franco and Anne Hathaway. Franco, who currently can be seen in “127 Hours,” will be making his second appearance on an Oscar telecast. His other film credits include “Eat, Pray, Love,” “Date Night,” “Milk” and “Pineapple Express.” Franco is also known for his portrayals of Harry Osborn in the “Spider-Man” trilogy. Hathaway will be making her fifth appearance on an Academy Awards telecast. She was recently seen in “Alice in Wonderland” and currently can be seen in “Love and Other Drugs.” Hathaway’s other film credits include “Bride Wars,” “Becoming Jane,” “The Devil Wears Prada” and “The Princess Diaries.” She was nominated for an Oscar in 2008 for her lead performance in “Rachel Getting Married.”
The HLP Oscar Contest closes on February 25th at 11:59pm for the first 100 entries (so act fast!!) Last year, we had so much fun and two of you had won my home-baked mouth-watering cookies!

Last minute tips: Just because you really enjoy and like a specific actor/director/song, it does not mean their performance was better/worse than another one you don’t really care for – choose wisely. If you have NOT seen the movies, peruse the Internet for feedback. Ask friends and family who did see “said” movies to make a better decision. You can just have fun and try to “guess” who the Academy Awards Committee “thought” was the best. Or, just pick who you like and hope that they win!! It’s about having FUN really!
