Best way to learn to cook

…is literally by just watching my videos, other youtube cooking videos, watching cooking channels on cablevision and looking through food magazines. porkchop
That’s how I learned to cook over 25 years ago- looking through food magazines. No, not by writing down recipes but just by visually looking how foods are paired and complememnted. What flavors work well, what flavors clash, what are “classic” ingredients, which ones are French inspired, how’s it done in Italy, and what constitutes “Caribbean” tastes and flavors? That’s how I learned and I feel it’s the best way to learn to cook- by watching others or looking at images like in a magazine.
