A new survey found that TriBeCa has more restaurants per resident than any other neighborhood in the entire country. In fact, my research shows that “TRIangle-BElow-CAnal” has over 130 FULL SERVICE RESTAURANTS (actually 136) and Battery Park City has over 25 great eateries and the numbers keep rising…and you thought these neighborhoods just offered great Easy Living®
“The restaurant industry helped revitalize TriBeCa and Battey Park City, bringing both new businesses and residents into the area, attracting more and more restaurants. TriBeCa is no longer only for destination dining – it also offers a myriad of incredible dining options to the local residents and businesses.” – Andrew Rigie, Director of Operations at the New York State Restaurant Association

In 2004, Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) won the bid to open a permanent kiosk in Madison Square Park and Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. Now, they have many Shake Shacks in different U.S. States (International too) with 7 locations in NYC with one in Battery Park City – YES!!
Now, this was not a list of the very best restaurants in the Downtown districts. We all know that Nobu, Atrio, and the Palm are incredible places to dine, but rather, this is my 8 favorite restaurants in TriBeCa and Battery Park City. Good food, great prices, excellent services, and wonderful experiences were all factors that brought these restaurants to the list.
